Visual and Performing Arts at Farragut Elementary

The Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) is committed to providing all students in the district with a high quality arts education. As part of the school day, students at Farragut receive arts instruction each week. Arts instruction is provided by District teachers and by community artists.

These well-established programs are paid for by the School District as well as by extensive parent fundraising efforts through the school’s booster club (Fan Club) and PTA with assistance from grants and individual donations through the Culver City Education Foundation.

For the 2016-17 school year, the District will further expand opportunities for students to learn choral music and visual arts.

Beyond this in-school programming, Farragut students have arts experiences available to them before and after school hours:

  • Choir Program with Mrs. Eskridge: 1st - 5th graders are invited to join choir which meets before school.

  • Bells Program with Mrs. Eskridge: 3rd - 5th graders are welcome to join the bells program which meets before school.

  • After-school enrichment - F.A.A.S.T. Classes:  Arts classes are routinely offered for all grades.

  • PTA Reflections Competition: All students can enter in this national creative arts competition.
